We are women founded and led organization and strongly believe that women are resourceful actors in our community and without empowering them that lasting peace, and sustainable development cannot be achieved in Somalia.

Our Mission is to advance gender equality and women empowerment for Somali women & girls of all ages and improve their socio-economic status through strengthening their leadership, capacity building, advocacy, and research to address fundamental issues such as gender justice and equality and challenges facing women and girls in Somalia.

SWSC’s vision is a to be an organization that brings positive change in Somali women and girls’ lives through building their capacity and confidence to participate in decision making, articulate their specific needs and exert their agency through calling for participation, representation and solutions that will effectively address marginalization and gender inequalities that they experience in post-conflict Somalia.

SWSC’s interventions create opportunities for women and girls to thrive as citizens, leaders and resourceful actors in their respective communities shaping the future of Somalia.
